Prakriti

Environmental education supports the understanding that everyone is part of the web of life. Prakriti is a one-of-a- kind program designed to exhibit support for environmentally friendly behaviors. It promotes the inclusion of children with special needs beyond their social and cultural identities. Proceeds from initiatives organized under Prakriti are a great way to fund essential services for children with disabilities. In collaboration with our local communities, government agencies, and passionate sponsors, we are committed to seeking out opportunities to create true value in the long term.

This program for wastepaper collection provides an opportunity to give back to our society in our little way. DSW Trust leads the collection drive with the support of the Rotary Club of Chennai. Volunteers from many organizations have come together to launch this program in Chennai. We request you join hands in this initiative as donors, volunteers, and change-makers.

DSW Trust, with the support of the Rotary Club of Chennai, has arranged for the collection of old newspapers from residences, housing societies, offices, and other facilities. We intend to conduct this as a continuous process until we meet our goal of 10,000 tonnes over 10 months and maybe later. To enable the participation of a more significant number of people in this noble cause, we have arranged for the collection drive in your residential societies.

Here are some additional benefits of this program; Recycling, 1 tonne of print/used paper, saves about 1 tonne of wood Recycling paper leads to the saving of trees and our environment.
